According to a report in Macworld, Snow Patrol and iTunes owner Apple are collaborating to create an application for the iPhone/iPod that offers impatient fans exclusive access to extra content in the run-up to the Oct 27 release of their next album, “A Hundred Million Suns.” Using the application, fans will get to explore artwork, photos, lyrics, video and an interactive booklet. Snow Patrol will be “the first artists to deliver” this interactive multimedia album concept, which will be made available for download. “A Hundred Million Suns” is expected to be one of the record industry’s major album releases in the last quarter of 2008.
