Haddock blows Four Winds minds
March 12, 2008 |
Ken Haddock, purveyor of fine cover versions at his long-running Sunday night “Ken Haddock’s Supper Club” at The Belfast Empire Music Hall (basement, free, from 9.30pm), has added another weekly gig to his busy schedule. Crowd-pleaser Ken now plays The Four Winds “gastro-pub” [Google map] on Friday nights between 10.30pm - 1.00am. Popular among audiences and fellow performers alike since his arrival on the Belfast entertainments scene in the late 20th century, Ken’s accomplished debut CD album of his own original material, The Sweetest Hour, enjoyed success within Ulster, winning airplay on local radio stations: BBC Radio Ulster, Cool FM, Downtown et al. His latest CD album is entitled Almost. Venue: www.thefourwinds.co.uk (111 Newton Park, BT8 - tel: 028 9070 7970)
