Fiddle weekender: March 7-9, Co. Donegal

The exuberant fiddle-maestro Liz Doherty - www.lizdoherty.ie - and traditional musicians Fiddlesticks present a weekend of workshops, masterclasses and performances in the Tullyarvan Mill, Buncrana, Inishowen, Co. Donegal from Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9. The weekend includes an open workshop on fiddle (intermediate to advanced) and masterclasses delivered by renowned fiddlers Pete Cooper (London) and Amy Geddes (Scotland) and pianist, Co. Cavan man Ciaran Tackney. The general public can attend 10pm sessions on Friday in the Mill Restaurant, Tullyarvan Mill, and on Saturday at the The Drift Inn, Buncrana. The weekender wraps up Sunday with a recital in the Tullyarvan Mill featuring University of Ulster students and tutors at 5pm; admission to that recital is free - all are welcome.
