Eve Will.i.ams’ virtuous voice
February 4, 2008 |
Eve Williams is an accomplished singer and Billboard-recognised songwriter from Co. Down; she has recorded an eponysmous EP CD of her own material and currently teaches voice. Eve is noted for her technical virtuosity - her vocal range spans nearly 4 octaves - and the diversity of performance styles: from opera to disco, jazz to folk. Her own music is influenced by jazz, blues, rock and a hint of the celtic. Classically trained and with 5 years performance experience with Belfast Philharmonic Society, Eve received an Arts Council grant to study at Oxenfoord Summer School. Eve has sung with Lucy’s Jazz Band and is a former member of the Symbolics; she often collaborates with blues pianist Darren Matthews. Eve got “honorably mentioned” in the 14th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest back in 2007 [beat that - ed]. More? http://www.eve-williams.com
