EXIT enter European battlefield
January 30, 2008 |
News just in that hard-working Belfast band EXIT has reached the world finals of the BodogMusic Battle of the Bands, a global search for the best unsigned band. Filmed as a part of a reality TV show to be shown on VH1 US, the eventual winner takes a $1-million record deal and battles it out on tour across the USA. Thanks to internet voting and industry opinion, EXIT was the only Ulster band to have reached and gone through the all-Ireland finals which took place on Jan 20. The band must now do battle against others throughout Europe to win their place on a US tour. EXIT are now one of three bands representing Ireland in the world finals: the other two bands are from Dublin & Wexford. EXIT comprises Tristan Harris (lead vocals), Chris Logan (lead guitar, 12- string guitars, backing vocals), Andy Morgan (bass guitar, backing vocals), Shane Watters (drums, percussion, backing vocals).
