Haste to the Wedding

Based in Co. Antrim, Haste to the Wedding are a five-piece folk band specialising in traditional ceili dance music and song. They come from various musical backgrounds, and have extensive experience playing traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales and further afield. The band play a large variety of instruments including banjo, fiddle, guitar, bouzouki, cittern, piano accordion, whistle, bodhran, drums and mandolin. They also have a fine singer. The band mainly play at Ceilidh Dances - especially those at wedding receptions - and have an experienced caller who keeps everyone on the right track, and helps those not familiar with the steps join in the ‘craic’.
