Ana Mae: new EP - Something In The Air
October 23, 2007 |
Something In The Air is the second “limited edition” EP release by local songstress Ana Mae. From the up-beat Something In The Air, the darker second track Stay and on to live favourite Is There Anything You Can Do this new digital EP demonstrates that Ana Mae can deliver power pop. Compared to Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) and Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Ana’s distinctive vocal is show-cased with excellent production values and a tight performance from her band The 442s. Recorded between April and June 2007 in various bedrooms across Ulster, the CD EP also contains an unplugged version of Marry Me, the title track from last year’s debut release. Limited edition “mini vinyl” CDs are available at gigs. You can listen to all 4 songs in [compressed - ed] “high-fidelity” via the new Ana Mae “members-only area” on http://www.anamae.net
