Oxjam: Belfast - October
October 18, 2007 |
Oxjam is a unique music festival staged throughout the month of October across Ireland and the UK with the aim of raising awareness and money for projects undertaken by Oxfam. Oxjam Belfast tickets from: http://www.wegottickets.com/location/1075 Over the course of 31 days in October hundreds of musicians and volunteers will bust a gut to make this festival a huge success and raise as much money as possible all while entertaining you good people and having a great time doing so. This year Oxjam will take Belfast by storm with a range of gigs spanning the entire month catering to all ages and all tastes in music. [at this early stage they can’t confirm anything other than the fact at Oxjam will be huge - ed]
Q. How do I get involved?
A. Either contact the local Oxfam Office or - if you specifically want to lend your expertise or musical prowess to this year’s event - send an e-mail with your full name, contact number, e-mail address and weblink if applicable to scott@drop-d.ie. This is open to everyone, so whether you’re a Bono or the boy/girl next door, give us a shout and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you. If we can’t fit you in to one of our gigs don’t take it personally and don’t dispair. In fact I wholeheartedly recommend you all go off and start up your own little Oxjam events.
