Escape Act brace for next EP, CD release

Belfast based Escape Act [www.myspace.com/escapeact] - the year-old indie-rock three-piece tipped for mass adoration in 2008 - released debut EP Hot Air in April 2007 to megabytes of local music press acclaim and megaHertz of airplay across these isles. The band (biogs below) recently commenced work with established producer Andy Miller (The Fratellis, Mogwai, Life Without Buildings) at Glasgow’s CHEM19 Studios and plan to release another new EP in November 2007 followed by a full-length CD album in March 2008. Escape Act play The Rotterdam this coming Saturday, September 29.

band biography:
Chris Heaney (vocals/guitar) - Chris’s early songwriting efforts saw him record with legendary Undertone John O’Neil. He is regarded as one of the most talented musicians in Belfast, for his work with the legendaryDesert Hearts, appearing on both their critically acclaimed albums and sharing stages with White Stripes, Breeders and Snow Patrol to name a few.
Rich Dale (bass/vocals) - Before Escape Act, Rich played alongside former Joyrider front-man Phil Woolsey in Roque Junior. The illustrious indie-pop 5-piece swerved between greatness and infamy enjoying the patronage of Gomez, The Thrills, and Stephen Malkmus.
Alan Beattie (drums/percussion) - Having once been part of punk/metal crossover act Rachel’s Asylum, new opportunities and styles where of primary interest. After answering a call or rather an email for a new alternative group, a completed Escape Act was formed.
