Houston: get back, Pearly

Sugar QueenFollowing the release of his latest CD/mp3 single back on July 2 - a cover version of the David McWilliams [1] penned The Days of Pearly Spencer [why this? - ed] and 25 years years later, a major top 10 hit for latter-day torch sinner Marc Almond - east Belfast troubadour Brian Houston commences his solo 2007 Pearly Come Home tour of intimate venues across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The tour culminates with a full band show in Belfast on September 26. Houston’s take on Pearly, composed 40 years ago in 1967, was recorded during Liverpool studio sessions for his most successful CD album to date, Sugar Queen.
