Wide-eyed & legless at Ireland Music Awards
February 4, 2007 |
Ulster-Scots stadium indie-rockers Snow Patrol took four prizes - including best Irish band - at the Ireland Music Awards in Dublin yesterday. The Northern Ireland-based band also won best live act, most downloaded song and best Irish album for Eyes Open. The boys are also nominated in three categories for this month’s Brit Awards, including best British group and British album. [the best of both worlds - RL]

Snow Patrol [for it is they - RL] at the Irish Music Awards. The band’s Eyes Open was the top-selling album in the UK in 2006. And look, Gary Lightbody (right) is sporting a fine “ohyeah” T-shirt! Now how cool is that?
