Brass bands clash in Strabane

The annual Brass Band League of Northern Ireland (BBL) 2009 competition takes place for the first time at the Alley Theatre in Strabane. The event on April 4 promises to offer the very best in Ireland’s brass bands, with over 20 bands battling it out for the championship crown. There are four sections in the competition, ranging from Grade 4 through to Championship section, with the most impressive band being chosen from each.
